To get in the spirit of the fall season, we did a fun team building activity, painting pumpkins for the office. That got us thinking: what happens to the pumpkins after the holidays? It turns out, approximately 1.3 BILLION pounds of pumpkins end up in US landfills each year.
With our expertise in organic feedstocks and anaerobic digestion, we thought we’d have some fun and started running the numbers. If we took all these pumpkins and put them in a digester, how much RNG would be generated?
