City of Vancouver Leadership Visits HoSt North America Office

17 April 2026
This week, Mayor Anne McEnerny‑Ogle and City of Vancouver leadership visited the HoSt North America office in Vancouver, Washington, to learn more about the company, our mission (to empower sustainability ambitions), and the role the region plays in HoSt’s growing presence in the United States.

The Mayor was joined by Lon Pluckhahn, City Manager, Chris Harder, Economic Development Deputy Director, and partners from the Columbia River Economic Development Council (CREDC), including Jordan Boldt, President, Ilana Cour, Business Development Manager, and Angie Samaniego, Business Development Specialist.

The visit provided an opportunity for open discussion about clean energy, regional economic development, and the factors that led HoSt to establish its U.S. headquarters in Vancouver.

HoSt CEO Robert Lems and HoSt Sales Engineer and Brand Ambassador Jorgen Gilbertson led a presentation on HoSt’s clean energy technology solutions, global roots, and projects underway close to home.

Robert also shared why HoSt selected Vancouver as its U.S. home base, citing the region’s strategic West Coast location, quality of life, direct flight connectivity to Amsterdam, close proximity to Canada, and strong alignment with clean energy priorities. The discussion highlighted the region’s focus on sustainability, decarbonization, and climate‑forward policy, as well as what HoSt brings to the local economy.

Today, 24 full‑time employees work out of our Vancouver office across engineering, management, service and operations, finance, sales, and marketing, with 11 additional team members (which include 7 Field Service Technicians that support our services team on project sites) located throughout the United States.

We also had the opportunity to highlight how the City of Vancouver’s climate action goals align with HoSt’s mission—followed by a tour of our offices and services monitoring control room.

Thank you to Mayor Anne McEnerny‑Ogle, City of Vancouver leaders, and the CREDC team for joining us and for the thoughtful conversation and engagement.
