HoSt Bioenergy Systems Strengthens Ukrainian Partnership with ReAgro Biogas Agreement

23 February 2026
Once again, even under the most challenging circumstances, the mission highlighted the immense resilience and entrepreneurship present in Ukraine. HoSt Group’s biogas department took part in a recent trade mission to Ukraine, represented by local partner Pro-Energy, with CEO Ruslan Delidon attending in person.

A new contract takes shape

Following the mission, HoSt is announcing a signed biogas agreement with ReAgro, led by CEO Oleksii Mashak. For ReAgro, this deal represents an early but meaningful move into renewable energy, and for HoSt, it’s further evidence of the appetite Ukrainian businesses have for sustainable infrastructure, even when conditions on the ground remain far from easy. The mission once again showed how determined local entrepreneurs are to invest in their sustainable future, uncertainty notwithstanding.

Where Ukraine's biogas sector is headed

The country’s biogas and biomethane industry is starting to look forward rather than just surviving the present. Better feedstock sourcing options, easier access to recovery-related financing, and a growing opportunity to export biomethane into the EU are all combining to make green energy projects viable again. Together, these shifts are opening the door to fresh investment in renewable infrastructure giving Ukrainian companies a route toward energy independence while feeding into the EU’s broader climate agenda.

The Pro-Energy partnership remains key

None of this progress happens without HoSt’s ongoing collaboration with local partner Pro-Energy, which pairs HoSt’s technical know-how with Pro-Energy’s on-the-ground market knowledge. The ReAgro contract is the latest proof point that Ukrainian businesses are still betting on sustainable, future-oriented energy despite everything working against that bet.

What comes next?

HoSt and ReAgro already have another joint project in the pipeline. HoSt Bioenergy Systems remains focused on Ukraine’s long-term green recovery, continuing to work hand-in-hand with local partners to deliver dependable, high-quality biogas solutions that support the country’s resilience and energy transition.
