De-risking the business case
What we delivers to project developers
- Turn-key EPC or a flexible scope
HoSt delivers a complete plant under a full EPC contract, or a reduced scope of design and key components where a developer wants to lead parts of the build. The contracting model flexes to the project. - A full in-house technology portfolio
Anaerobic digestion, biogas upgrading, CO2 liquefaction and bio-LNG come from one supplier. One-stop delivery removes interface risk between vendors and lets a developer sell biomethane, food-grade bio-CO2 and biofertiliser from a single site. - Feedstock flexibility and process stability
HoSt engineers the feeding, mixing and digester design around the specific feedstock mix, including difficult and varied streams. Stable digestion protects the yield the business case depends on.
Lorca Bioenergy, Spain (developer Five Bioenergy)
HoSt Bioenergy Systems is building Lorca Bioenergy in Spain for project developer Five Bioenergy, one of the largest biogas plants in the country. The plant digests a varied feedstock of pig manure, fruit and vegetable waste, slaughterhouse waste and olive cake, fed through a moving-floor feeder with an integrated blending unit. In-house biogas upgrading and CO2 liquefaction from sister company Bright Renewables produce biomethane and food-grade liquid bio-CO2. A heat-recovery system cools the digestate in the warm climate, and recovered osmotic water is reused in the process to avoid drawing on scarce fresh water. Construction started in February 2025, with commissioning planned for Q3 2026
