Biomethane

Biomethane is purified from biogas, from which carbon dioxide and other impurities have been removed, leaving a gas that is energy equivalent to fossil natural gas. Also known as renewable natural gas (RNG) or green gas, it can be fed directly into the existing gas grid, used as a transport fuel, or supplied to industrial gas consumers. Its origin from organic waste streams makes it a renewable energy carrier.
